Celebrate Spring at Blue Moon Gardens Open House Blue Moon Gardens celebrates spring at their annual Open House on Saturday, April 26 from 9:00 to 5:00. The entire day will be filled with fun and the sharing of garden knowledge and inspiration. Free samples of teatime food will be served. The following speakers will be presenting free programs during the day. 10 am - Hydrangea, Queen of the Shade Garden. Master Gardener Dee Bishop talks about the best hydrangeas for the South. 11 am - The Pleasure of Herbs. Mary Wilhite, owner of Blue Moon Gardens, shares her enthusiasm for growing and using herbs. 12:45 pm - Growing Great Vegetables. Master Gardener Patsy Besch plants a beautiful and bountiful vegetable garden every year and reveals her secrets of success. 2:00 pm - Tea Time. A special presentation by Martha Rutherford all about tea: history, lore, types of tea and how to properly prepare and serve them. Martha will also have a display of her collection of tea pots and teas. All programs are free and everyone is invited.
