BISD releases May calender

The end of the 2007-08 school year quickly approaches and Brownsboro ISD has released the schedule for end of the year activities.

On Tuesday, May 6 the FFA will host an awards banquet in the high school cafeteria. The program begins at 6:30pm. Also on Tuesday the Chandler Lions Club will present the Citizenship awards at the Chandler Community Center beginning at 7pm.

Thursday, May 8 the BHS academic awards will be handed out starting at 7pm in the drama building.

Friday, May 9 Chandler and Brownsboro elementarys will hold field day. The Junior and Senior Prom will be held on Saturday, May 10.

Athletics will be honored at the annual athletic banquet held on Tuesday, May 13. Tickets are $10 for a meal catered by El Presidente. The banquet begins at 6:30pm in the high school gym.

Chandler Elementary's annual Spring Festival will be held on Friday, May 16.

Tuesday, May 20 National Honor Society will hold an induction at 7pm in the high school Little Theater.

The 8th grade and high school bands will hold a spring concert on Thursday, May 22 in the high school gym at 7pm. The Junior High band concerts are scheduled for Friday, May 23.

Also on May 23 are the Senior Awards at 9am in the high school gym and that night the Theater awards will be handed out at 7pm in the drama building.

The Baccalaureate will be held on Sunday, May 25 at 6pm in the high school gym.

Memorial Day, May 26 is a staff development day, students will be out of school.

Seniors will have graduation practice on Tuesday, May 27 at 10am in Tyler at TJC. Brunch will be on Wednesday at 9:30am at Faith Baptist in Brownsboro.

Chandler Elementary will hold an awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 28 and Brownsboro Elementary will hand out their awards on Thursday, May 29.

The last day of school is scheduled for Thursday, May 29. Friday, May 30 is a bad weather day. Graduation is on Saturday, May 31 at TJC beginning at 7pm.
