Charles King

Services for Charles Ray King, 67, Chandler, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Beaty Funeral Home chapel, Hawkins, with Brother Bob Sexton officiating.

Burial was in Hawkins Cemetery.

Mr. King died April 25, 2008, in Tyler. He was born Feb. 5, 1941, in New Orleans, La., to the late Roy and Mavis Roger King.

He lived in Tyler prior to moving to Chandler in 1984, and retired as a machine cleaner from Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra King, Chandler; stepson, Charles Pitcock, Kentucky; daughters, Cindy Caldwell and Cheryl Evans Stokes, both of Hawkins; stepdaughter, Candace Watts, Chandler; brothers, Gerald King, Palestine, and James Nelson, California; sisters, Barbara Schofield, Hawkins, and Frances Slaughter, Many, La.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
