Bears finish tenth at golf regionals

Teeing off at the Tanglewood Resort last week in the Class 3A Region II Golf Tournament Andrew Pollard and Drew Pirtle led the Bears into the golf tournament.

Spring Hill won the tournament title with a score of 606 while Brownsboro finished in tenth place with a score of 674. Atlanta earned second with a score of 629.

Pollard finished 11th as an individual with a score of 155. he shot 80 the first round and 75 the second. Pirtle was 17th overall with a score of 158. He shot an 85 in the first and a 73 in the second.

The rest of the Brownsboro team included Trent Richards, Cody Bratton and Mikey Grace.

Richards shot a 181 (89- 92), Bratton shot a 184 (89- 95) and Grace shot 189 (98- 91).

Kaycee Wood competed in medalist play for the girls and shot a 260 (129-131).

Frisco Wakeland won the girls title, Mabank placed second. The top individual female score was 145.
