Ecstatic fans watched in awe as the blaring buzzer signaled the end of a tie game between the seniors and Brownsboro faculty members held on April 24. Thursday night's festivities were held in attempt to raise money for the annual senior lock-in scheduled for May 31.
Hosted by the senior parents, the 3 quarter action packed game of fouls, free throws and unanticipated technicals proved to be an entertaining success for all ages.
"The motive of the game was to raise money for the senior lock-in," Game Coordination parent Diana Kuhns said. "I feel it was a big success and I'm very pleased with the turnout."
Starting off the game was senior player Keaton Parsell who ended his stride down the court with a two point basket. The teams ended the first quarter tied 28-28 with the first timeout taken by the seniors coach Andrew Adair.
"My first strategy is to score more points than the other team. By doing that we will be aggressive and play dirty," Adair said.

During half time past faculty member cheerleaders from various schools and years ranging from 1971 to 1995 pumped up the crowd with chants, cheers, toe touches and even a cartwheel from 1979 cheerleader Sherri Chambers.
"My favorite part of being at the senior game was having the opportunity to be with the other former cheerleaders, " 1985 John Tyler cheerleader Deana Murphy said. "Even though I was not a Brownsboro cheerleader it was a neat experience to cheer for the faculty and seniors like past times."
Starting the last quarter tied 51-51 the faculty kicked their game up a notch. With two minutes to go all rules were set aside and it was anyone's game as the seniors and faculty put forth their final efforts to become this year's winners.
"I am just trying to make it down the court one time without needing oxygen," BES principal and faculty player Brian Ralson said.
Strong plays by Coaches Beasley and Scott put the faculty score ahead by two (71- 73) in the last 38 seconds of the game until a strong senior pursuit concluded in a tie game of 73-73.
"The game was a lot of fun! The teachers' basketball skills still rock," BJHS principal and faculty cheerleader 1971, Yolanda Larkin said.
