Dog and Cat Vaccination at New Hope UMC, FM 314, Saturday, May 10, from 10 am to noon. Cost is $8 per animal; animals must be on a leash.

A retirement party will be held for CES teachers Cheryl Myers and Barbara Tompkins and aide, Ellen Barton. Party will be at the school Wednesday, May 14, from 8 am to 3 pm. The public is welcome to attend.

Asbury Cemetery will hold its annual memorial meeting Saturday, May 17, at 11 am. There will be a short service and group singing. Meeting will be followed by a potluck - bring beverages and a dish to share. All are welcome.

Chandler Elementary School will hold its Spring Festival on May 16 from 5 pm to 8 pm. There will be food, games and fun for the whole family.

A powderpuff football game will be held at the Brownsboro football field May 16. There will be a $1 donation cost; donations will go to three school families who have experienced death this year.

May's L.L.L. at the FUMC in Chandler will feature Dr. Vora giving a lecture along with Dr. Cherry. The games start at 10 am on May 14, lunch and the lecture start at 11:30.

CBACC noon luncheon May schedule: El Presidente in Brownsboro on May 8, San Pedro's in Chandler on May 22. Board meeting will be at the school administration building in Brownsboro on May 22 at 5:30.

Coming in fall: A class reunion is being planned for all who attended the Old Chandler High School and guests. Help in planning is needed. Think of those who were in class during your high school days and make a list to contact "old friends". The date will be Saturday, September 20. Reserve and watch for details. Let's make this a "homecoming to remember". Let us know if you would like to represent your class.

Quilters Guild of East Texas monthly meeting, Thursday, May 8, 10 am and 7 pm, at Pollard United Methodist Church at 3030 New Copeland Rd, Tyler. For information call 903-795-3808.

Brownsboro Young Farmers Association will be having their monthly meeting Monday 5/19/08, 6:30pm at the BHS Ag/Voc. Building.

BISD will have kindergarten registration on May 7 and May 8th from 9am-2pm each day.

Calvary Baptist in Brownsboro will hold a prayer breakfast on the second Saturday of each month with Pastor John Parker. Good food and fellowship, come 8 am, May 10.

BHS Athletic banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 13 in the high school gym at 6:30pm. Tickets are $10 and the meal will be catered by El Presidente of Brownsboro.

Bread of Life Distribution Food Bank on the third Saturday of each month. 8 am - 12 pm. Any volunteers would be accepted and appreciated. Calvalry Baptist hosts this food bank for public awareness.

MOPS will meet from 9:30- 11:30 AM at 1st Assembly in Chandler on May 13. We are out for summer.
