NJHS inducts 24 new members

The Brownsboro chapter of the National Junior Honor Society met Monday, May 5 to induct 24 new members into the society. The group met in the gym of the Brownsboro Junior High School at 7 pm.

There are five large factors in determining if a student is NJHS material. They are: a high scholarship average, citizenship, leadership, service and character.

Four eighth grade students were inducted, as well as 20 seventh grade students.

The new eighth grade inductees: Cheyenne Anthony, Austin Hughes, RJ Newsome, Kelsey Wheeler.

The new seventh grade inductees: Abbey Adair, Brianna Bradshaw, Caleb Cade, Blake Carnes, Joey Duncan, Emily Ellis, Cecilia Gomez, David Grob, Kaylan Harris, Haleigh Lemons, Lucas Lemons, Taylor Massey, Trenton McCallie, Daylon Mitchell, Celeste Padron, Jacobi Parker, Allison Reid, Karina Rojas, Casey Seale and Owen Williams.

NJHS officers are chapter president Trey Volentine, treasurer Alison Owen, secretary Hailey Gray, historian Camilla Bundy, vice president Savanna Griffith and publicity Callie Huffman.

Speakers at the event were Kelsey Parker, Taylor Woodruff, Breanne McKeever, Brittanie Scheen and Valerie Edwards.
