`Together' Theme of Final Curtain Players end of year show
Students honored with awards and more
The Brownsboro High School Final Curtain Players entertained a crowd May 23 at its end of the school year program. The young performers put on a light-hearted show to relax both the audience and the actors performing the skits.
This student-led event starred over a dozen young actors, with four people working on the technical aspect. There were 10 separate sketches from original ideas to classic retellings.
The show began with "Sergeant Fred's Domain", where a wooden sergeant told the audience of the accomplishments of the theater department, and moved on to "America's Next Top Model", a spoof resembling a combination of American Idol and a model runway.
The humorous "Super Heroes " followed, and next was the students' version of a scene from the movie Monty Python: The Search for the Holy Grail, which was a big hit with the crowd.
A reenactment of a scene from the TV show Seinfeld came after a brief intermission, followed by "Man who Speaks in Anagrams".
After "Pet Shop", the final sketch was an assortment of spoofs by both the eighth grade performers and the high school actors.
