Edom to celebrate Independence Day bash with a bang

The community of Edom is gearing up for its Fourth of July celebration. Located five miles north of Brownsboro, the celebration will feature a live band, refreshments and a fireworks show.

The festivities start at 6 pm at the Edom Community Center. There will be a free patriotic musical revue, presented by the Edom Civic Theater. Though the entertainment is free, reservations should be made. Call 903-852-6803 for reservations.

At 7 pm the celebration begins in earnest with the band, refreshments and fireworks. The fun is free, but it is recommended to bring lawn chairs.
