Vera E. Beard

Graveside services for Vera E. Beard, 99, of Tyler were held Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Tyler Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Warren officiating, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beard passed away, Monday, June 16, 2008 at South Place Nursing Home in Athens, Texas.

She was born December 31, 1908 to the late Taylor W. and Suzanna Myers Richards in Frankston, Texas. She was a member of West Erwin Street Church of Christ, loved to sew and travel, and always put her family first.

Mrs. Beard was preceded in death by her husband, Bernice Beard, her son, Tony Beard, and her parents, Taylor and Suzanna Richards.

She is survived by her daughter, Marnell House and husband Joe, of Brownsboro; two granddaughters, Melinda House Chilton of New Harmony and Susie House Hurley of Murchison; and two greatgrandsons, Russell Watson IV and Collier Watson.
