SOMEONE CARES
Someone cares when the way is steep
And heavy your load ...
Someone cares if you're struggling along,
Or fall by the side of the road.
Someone cares when the close of the day
Brings the fall of evening dew,
Someone cares when you haven't accomplished
The task He allotted to you.
Someone cares when you turn to Him
Your strength to renew ...
Someone cares and He'll not turn away;
His love reaches out to you.

A LOVE LETTER TO MY MOTHER -- `EARTH'
On this wonderful orb,
Where I live, Earth,
That circles the Sun
93-million miles away.
On this wonderful orb,
Where I live, Earth,
The seasons change
Four times a year.
On this wonderful orb,
Where I live, Earth,
The atmosphere that envelopes us
Makes it safe for me to breathe.
On this wonderful orb,
Where I live, Earth,
I witness the marvels of the Universe,
From my own back porch steps!

THE MONTH OF JUNE
June is the month for graduates,
For scholastic honors high,
When boys and girls of lower grades
Stand up to let the seniors by.
But with the honors, come the tears,
With parting from each other,
When through the years of work and play
They shared as sister and s brother.
June is the month when hope is high,
When high goals are in the plan,
Or work and service is the dream,
To grow to womanhood or man.
The world is seen, a challenge new,
Where every soul must win the race,
To build a better home, a church, a school;
Or make the world a better place.
June is the month when marriage, too,
Holds out to youth companionship,
That they may share and plan as one,
To walk and work in fellowship,
Whatever journey they may take,
To grow to womanhood or man.
There is no fear, for faith is high,
And every youth is sure he can.
These are our boys and girls who go
In June, in search to find a place,
To give themselves in noble work,
In service to the human race.
Let's hold them up in faith and prayer;
They go to womanhood and man,
Let's give them every right to know
That we are also sure they can.
