George Lee Toney

George Lee Toney, 84, Ben Wheeler, passed away June 28, 2008, after a lengthy illness.

He was born March 5, 1924, in Chandler. During World War II, he worked as a welder on Navy ships and was a supervisor at Bonham Textile Mill. He is retired from his mechanic business.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Toney, Ben Wheeler; daughter, Shirley VanHooser, Ben Wheeler; brothers, Grady Toney, Tyler, and Aubrey Toney, Dallas; sisters, Nell Adams, Sand Springs, Okla., and Billie Jean Redd, Dallas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
