The junior varsity wasted no time putting points on the board against Cayuga 26-20, Monday afternoon, December 29, in the Bearette Doubleheader Tournament.

Bearette Amy Jones scored in the first quarter for Brownsboro right after she got a good free throw.

With three minutes left in the first quarter, Courtney Cook stole the ball and scored, bringing the game in favor of Brownsboro 9-2. The first quarter ended 13-6.

Cayuga slowly but surely began to creep up on Brownsboro. By the end of the second quarter, the Lady Wildcats were only down by 3-points, 19-16.

The third quarter was upsetting for both teams; Brownsboro only scored once in the third and Cayuga was "oh-so-close" only down by one point at the end of the quarter, 21-20.

Bearette Cashay Carter was the only Brownsboro player to score in the last quarter with 5- points to end the game 26-20.

Next, the junior varsity will take it to Palestine to play against the Westwood Lady Panthers, Friday, January 9th.
