`Twas the day before Christmas

`Twas the day before Christmas Holidays When all through the School Every Student was stirring Despite every rule. Oh, why all the smiling? Why do they joyously shout? The Holidays are coming, Praise Be, School will be out!!! by Maurica Giles

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Another year has come and gone, And what do I have to show? I pause to reflect and wonder - Oh, where does the fleeting time go? The passing years are now history, I cannot recapture those days. Do I dwell on the past - or the future? Is my life but an obscure haze? The years roll by - one by one, A time I can ne'er reclaim. God has given me abundant talents To glorify and exalt His name. Have I done my very best, I muse, With charity toward my fellow man? Have I used the time God has given To do the best I can? "Do unto others," says the Golden Rule, "As you'd have them do unto you." A new beginning for a happy New Year; A simple rule the whole year through. Submitted by Otis Rainwater

SING ME A SONG TONIGHT, MOTHER

Sing me a song tonight, Mother, For I am very sad. Sing me a song tonight, Mother And I'll tell you of a dream I had. I dreamed I'd gone to Heaven And the angels sang to me. Then I woke to find I'd been dreaming And no angels could I see. I've found the way to Heaven And I'll go when my time is nigh. I've found the gates are always open In the land of the Sweet Bye and Bye. Sing me a song tonight, Mother For I'm feeling very blue. Sing me a song tonight, Mother, For I really love you. by Thomas L. Howard (written Oct. 6, 1946) G - God's R - Riches A - At C - Christ's E - Expense - Anonymous
