Memorial services for William B. Martin, 79, Chandler, were held Wednesday, December 31st at Chandler United Methodist Church with Dr. Gary Fitzgerald officiating. Local arrangements were with Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Burial will be at a later date in Fuston Cemetery near Carthage, Miss., under direction of Wilcox Funeral Home.

Mr. Martin died December 30, 2008, in a Tyler hospital.

He was born August 9, 1929, in Lexington, Miss., to the late Samuel Russell and Louise Davis Martin. He was a Civil Service instructor for the Air Force, and lived in Wichita Falls for more than 30 years prior to moving to Chandler 23 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Martin, Chandler; nieces and nephews.
