Hodge ATHENS, Texas - The Holiday Inn Express of Athens and the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center are working together to promote the fisheries center and visitation to Athens.

The Holiday Inn Express has agreed to serve as the official hotel for people attending events at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center and will offer special rates for such persons.

In addition, the hotel has decorated its public spaces with photographs of attractions and events at the Center.

"We believe that working together will benefit both parties," said Carroll Sigman, general manager of the Holiday Inn Express. "The photographs in the hotel will promote visitation of the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center, and the reduced room rate will encourage people to stay longer and explore other attractions in the Athens area."
