Brooking / Smiley Wedding
Courtesy Photo Kayla Leigh Brooking and John Bailey Smiley, both of Chandler, were united in marriage Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the Villa di Felicita in Tyler.
Scott Griffith of Murchison officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Millard and Sherry Brooking of Chandler. She is a graduate of Brownsboro High School and Stephen F. Austin State University.
The groom is the son of Ronnie Jack and Ruth Smiley of Chandler. He is a graduate of Brownsboro High School and Texas A & M University.
He is currently pursuing his master's degree at Texas A & M University.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory strapless satin gown.
The bodice was embellished with Swarovski crystals, glass beads and sequins. The full A-line skirt featured pick-ups which cascaded to a bubble hemline and swept to a cathedral train. The corset back bodice was embellished with matching crystals and beads. A two-tiered, scalloped veil adorned with crystals and beads complemented the bride's gown. She carried a cascading bouquet adorned with casa blanca lilies and anna roses.
Matron of honor was Jimmie Clayton of Brownsboro. Bridesmaids were Elise Brooking of Denton, Avery Brooking of Nacogdoches, Nicole Parrett of Vidor, Allison Everette of Diana, Brooke Jasa and Sidney Rutherford, both of Fort Worth.
Best man was Jerid Rinehart of Brownsboro. Groomsmen were Austin Perry and Andy Coggan, both of College Station, Chance Mayfield of Allen, Neil Irwin of Fort Worth, Drew Tedford and Benjamin James Dyck, both of Houston.
Serving as ushers were Ricky Daily of Chandler, and Andrew Barnes of Dallas.
Following a honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will reside in College Station, Texas.
