Brownsboro FFCLA competes in regionals
From the Brownsboro FCCLA Courtesy Photo Congratulations FCCLA Star Events participants and Christina Staples! Friday, January 30th, 10 students traveled to Plano under the supervision of their advisors, Myrl Haggerty and Maurica Giles, to participate in Star Events at the FCCLA Regional competition and convention.
All 10 girls competed in LEO Testing: Dannielle Johnson got a Gold in Job Interview; Danielle Bynum and Kaesey Watters got a Silver in Job Interview; Rebecca Baker got a Silver in Creed, Mission Statement and Purposes. Christina Staples, Abigail Hernandez and Aurora Rojas got a Bronze in Creed, Mission Statement and Purposes.
Brownsboro FCCLA had four teams who represented Brownsboro with pride and excellence. Sage Chambers and Rebecca Baker did a great job in the Senior category of Chapter Service Project Display; Aurora Rojas, Abigail Hernandez, and Brittany Pelton took Second Place in Senior Interpersonal Communications.
Brooke Bynum stepped in at the last minute to represent Brownsboro in the Junior Focus on the Children project and did such an excellent job. Brooke took second place in that category. Kaesey Watters, Dannielle Johnson and Danielle Bynum took second place in the Senior category of Focus on the Children - three second place winners in FCCLA Regional competition!! Way to go, girls!
Last but certainly not least, Christina Staples is now a FCCLA Regional Officer. She is Vice President of Star Events. Christina is the first Regional Officer in the history of Brownsboro High School FCCLA! Congratulations, Christina Staples.
Brownsboro FCCLA will be competing at the State FCCLA convention this spring, April 16-18. Brownsboro FCCLA Booster Club is having various fundraisers to help students pay for the trip. Please support the girls as they strive for excellence.
