Two Brownsboro boys athletes finished in the Top 2, while three girls scored in the Top 4, during weight class competition at the Brownsboro Invitational powerlifting meet held Saturday, Jan. 24th.

Michael House took first place in the 123-pound weight class, with a total Schwartz weightof 663.12 pounds.

House recorded lifts of 215.18 in the squat, 175.66 pounds in the bench, and 272.27 pounds in the dead lift categories to take the top spot in his class.

Jose Hernandez recorded a total Schwartz weight total of 722.82 pounds in the 165-pound weight class.

Hernandez had lifts of 271.48 pounds in the squat, 179.86 pounds in the bench, and 271.48 pounds in the dead lift to take second place.

In the girls competition, it was Krystilyn, Taylor Barnes and Krystin Groothius topping out in the Top 4 in their individual competitions.

Woods took home a second place finish in the 220-pound weight class with a total Malone lift of 410.92 pounds.

She picked up 152.54 pounds in the squat, pressed 87.16 pounds in the bench, and lifted 171.22 pounds in the dead lift to finish in second place. Annirese Watson of New Diana took first with a total lift of 499.82 pounds.

Barnes and Groothius finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 198-pound weight class.

Barnes posted a total Malone weight lift total of 378.22 pounds with a lift of 133.68 pounds in the squat, 74.99 pounds in the bench press, and 169.55 pounds in the dead lift to earn her third place finish.

Groothius was just a few pounds back of Barnes, posting a Malone weight total of 373.29 pounds. She had a squat lift of 146.07 pounds, bench press of 68.17 pounds, and 159.05 pounds in the dead lift to slide in at fourth place.

Odette Rivero of Athens posted 536.08 pounds for first, while Amber West of Forney had a 402.39- pound total for second place.
