Chandler 4-H met for its regular monthly meeting at Faith Baptist Church in Chandler on February 3 with 22 youth, including one new member, and 13 adults present.

Cassiddy Petty reported that he placed 9th in class with his Jersey heifer and 5th in showmanship at the Fort Worth Stock Show recently. Congratulations, Cassiddy!

We drew for the winners in our fundraising raffle. One of our own members, Colby Elkins of Chandler, won the shotgun, and Kathy Skiles of Murchison won the gift card. Club members now are selling raffle tickets for a four-wheeler at $10 apiece to benefit Henderson County Livestock Show Supporters who raise funds to add on to premiums received for market animals who place sufficiently high to be sold at the premium sale climaxing each year's show.

Our program was presented by Paul McMillan on the important subject of gun safety. We appreciate very much the information he shared.

Livestock shows at San Antonio and Houston, as well as our county show (week of March 23) are coming up soon.

Our next meeting will be at our usual location on March 3, at 7pm.
