Services for Arthur Ritchie Bass Sr., 93, Chandler, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tommy Weems officiating.

Burial was in Chandler Memorial Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Bass died February 7, 2009, in Chandler.

He was born Sept. 11, 1915, in Powderly, and served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was an automotive mechanic, a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, Chandler Masonic Lodge and a 32nd degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lucille, and son, Arthur Ritchie Bass Jr.

Survivors include his son, Gary Bass and wife Diane of Chandler; daughters, Martha Hunt and husband Eddie of Crockett; Judy Bass and husband Marq Darnell of Carrollton; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Stace Hunt, Greg Marshall, Jeffrey Bass, Ken Sargent, John Bass and Joshua Watson.

Memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital or Rock Hill Baptist Church.
