Much of county's "10 Most Wanted" accounted for
Travis Jones Aggravated Sexual Assault M - 47 - White - 5' 11" - 130 Three of Henderson County's top 10 most wanted fugitives from the sheriff's department's list have been arrested with two more having been located. Another fugitive, added to the list after several had been apprehended, was caught as well.
Billy Jack Valentine, Henderson County Sheriff's Department watch deputy, said there have been a lot of tips from citizens.
"We got tips on one of the fugitives, Laura Peace," Valentine
said.
Peace was arrested on war- rants for fraudulent use of identifying information, motion to revoke probation for a credit card abuse charge and possession (under a gram) of a controlled subs t a n c eHerbondwasputat$7,000.
Carl Leroy Gooden, 54, was one of the two who turned themselves in. Gooden came to the sheriff's department on Friday, March 6. He was wanted for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked with bond at $50,000.
"We're still getting lots of good information," Valentine said. "One of the new fugitives on the list, Fontagne, was shown on America's Most Wanted."
