The Greater Lake Palestine Council's Annual Meeting will take place at the Wildwood Community Center in Chandler, 11:00 a.m Saturday, April 25. Everyone is invited to come for the meeting and to enjoy a great bar-b-que lunch for $6 per plate. We serve the community through you.

There will be a Garage and Bake Sale benefiting the local community Saturday. April 25 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Hickory Hills at Callender Lake. Come and find some good bargains.

The Sally Ride Science Festival, will be hosted by the Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering at SMU from 11:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Saturday, April 25. The event brings together upper elementary and middle school girls and boys, parents and teachers. Festival includes lunch, street fair, activities, booths, music and a talk by veteran Space shuttle astronaut Stephanie Wilson. Admission is $20 and pre-registration is required. Henderson County's 2009 Relay For Life will take place at Brownsboro High School's track Friday to Saturday, May 1 to 2. The event to celebrate survivors of cancer and to honor those lost to the disease will begin at 7:00 p.m. May 1. The Chandler Lions Club meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Chandler Community Center at 7pm. Meetings consist of dinner, meeting and a program. Anyone interested in giving back to the community through the Lions organization is invited to attend.
