A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I attended the Brownsboro High School athletic banquet, as we have been privileged to do for the past 40 years. The coaches are to be commended for an excellent athletic year. However, I was more impressed with the academic excellence achievements of our student athletes. Forty student athletes were recognized by the district and three student athletes were recognized by the State for their academic achievement. Congratulations to these young people and to their teachers, parents and coaches.

I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who voted for me in the B.IS.D. Board of Trustees election. Thank you for your support. It is our privilege as well as our responsibility to vote whenever we are given the opportunity. This election, especially, reminded me that each vote is important. Only about 700 persons voted out of the 9,000 eligible voters in our school district. I commend everyone who made the effort to vote in this election.
