BHS cheerleaders car wash set

The Brownsboro High School cheerleaders will host a benefit car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Brookshire's in Chandler.

Proceeds will be used to help fund cheerleader camps.

Reading Club starts today

The Chandler Public Library will sponsor the annual Texas Reading Club program which will start at 10 a.m. today, June 11, at the library.

Story times and special events for children in preschool through third grade will continue through July 23. The events will be open to the public.

Children who participate in the reading club will receive prizes and certificates.

Cemetery Memorial Day June 14

The Leagueville Cemetery Association will host its annual Memorial Day Sunday, June 14, at the cemetery.

Lunch and association will be featured after morning worship at the church.

CBAC to host golf tourney

The Chandler/ Brownsboro Area Chamber of Commerce seventh annual golf tournament will be Saturday, June 27, at Echo Creek Country Club.

A shotgun tee time will begin at 8:30 a.m. Registrations will be for four-person teams and the cost will be $50 per individual or $200 per team.

Hole sponsors also are needed. Proceeds from the tournament will be used for Brownsboro High School scholarships.
