Lake Palestine UMC set for extravaganza

Lake Palestine United Methodist Church will host the Fourth of July Extravaganza at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 4.

Events will include a 42 tournament with prizes, softball, horseshoes, volleyball, washer pitching, inflatables for kids, vendor booths, food, drinks and entertainment.

A free fireworks show at dusk will climax the event.

Space available for retail and information booths; no charge for a 12x12 (no electricity). Entertainers (bands, singers, comics, etc.) needed. The deadline for sign-up for booths and entertainment will be Monday, June 29. For booth space information or audition interview contact Bob Fisher at (903) 279-3174.

Donations and proceeds will benefit God's Open Hands (a local community outreach to help the needy here at home) and for improvements to make Lake Palestine Amphitheater more handicap accessible.
