Volentine, Bragdon shine in NTJPGA

Two Brownsboro students are shining on the North Texas Junior PGA tour this summer.

Trey Volentine plays in the 14 and 15 year old division, while Jared Bragdon plays in the 12 and 13 year old division.

Volentine has earned three first place finishes and one third place finish, while Bragdon has earned two first place finishes, one second place, and one third.

The pair are cousins.

Bragdon won his division at Mineola and at Meadowbrook, shooting 87 in each tournament to take home the trophies. He shot a 91 at Oak Forest (second place) and 86 (third place) in the Van Zandt tournament.

Volentine started with a third place at Mineola, shooting a 78. He followed with his three consecutive victories, shooting 72 at Oak Forest, 76 at Meadowbrook and 72 at Van Zandt.

Volentine is the NTJPGA's 2008 Player of the Year, an honor he has won twice. He won 16 first place trophies last year, including 12 tournaments in a row.
