Brownsboro FFA chapter officers received numerous awards, along with some of its top students, during a state FFA convention in Dallas in July.

Four of the chapter's students applied for and received their Lone Star Farmers degrees, the highest a student can receive at the state level.

Students receiving their Lone Stars were Holly Hargrave, Glenn Devlin, Haley Suggs, and Jessica Dingler.

Also during the week, the Brownsboro FFA chapter was recognized on several different levels: being the 3rd largest chapter in Texas with 354 members enrolled; received a silver star on the Golden Horizon Award in which the chapter was evaluated on its participation in various contests and competitions throughout the year; received the Superior Chapter award in multiple teacher departments for being one of the best chapters in the state.

And finally, Brownsboro received a gold star on the National Chapter Award and will advance to the national level. The national award is based on involvement in stock shows, leadership development events, fundraisers, and community involvement.
