Funeral services for Mary Ella Simmons, 91, Brownsboro, were held Tuesday, August 18, at Union Hill Baptist Church.. Burial was in Rock Hill Cemetery, under direction of Hilliard Funeral Home, Van.

Mrs. Simmons died August 15, 2009 in Tyler. She was born May 4, 1918 in Easterly, Texas to the late William Franklin and Winnie Pearl Denman Dorrough.

Survivors are sons, Billy Simmons, Jimmy Simmons; daughters, Bobbie Chambers, Rai Harvey; brothers, Russell Dorrough and Roy Dorrough; 3 sisters; 12 grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
