MURCHISON FUMC

Murchison First United Methodist Church is scheduled to sponsor a benefit for the Murchison Volunteer Fire Department Monday, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the church.

Barbecue will be served. Donations will go to the fire department.

The Brownsboro High School band boosters meeting is set for Tuesday, at 6:30 p.m., in the band hall.

The League of Women Voters of Tyler and Smith County on Sept. 12-20 is set to welcome a delegation of elected officials from Kazakhstan for an eight-day visit to learn more about strengthening state and local governments.

Martin Springs Baptist Church in Chandler will celebrate its 94th anniversary Sept. 13, at 10 a.m.

PARKSIDE SHORES

Parkside Shores will host Music Night with country, gospel and 1950s format with the ET Backroads Band, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., every first and third Monday of the month at the Clubhouse.
