WRITER'S CORNER
My husband and I went for a walk late one day,
The Lord's beauty was far more than I can say,
I looked over the hills to the sun going down;
The beauty was breathtaking that I had found.
The sun was setting behind the hills in the west,
The full moon was rising in the east and I can't decide which one was best.
The beauty of the Lord is so rare
There in nothing that can compare.
My eyes and heart could hardly take all of it in,
Because you see so many people living in sin,
How the people in the world can live so bad,
Has to make our Savior cry and be so sad.
The beauty, love and grace that He gave
Was for us all that we might be saved.
So, friends, take time to see the beauty of it all
Before you take too long and start your fall.
Once you fall into that place of no return
You will forever and always burn and burn,
So take hold of God's wonderful grace and be forgiven,
And live forever in a place called Heaven.

SIGNS OF AUTUMN
There are many subtle signs that Autumn is on its way;
Like a freshness in early morning, of a "middle nineties " day.
A few early yellow leaves start drifting to the ground
And the sassy "caw" of crows overrides the cicada's lazy sound.
The early summer flowers on roadside vines and weeds
Have changed into berries now, or pods full of seeds.
Although summer's still hanging on with its heavy humid heat;
Many signs now let you know that autumn soon will have it beat.
