The Flatwood Food Bank is scheduled to host its end-of-the-year fundraiser for needy families on Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m..

The event will be at the food bank two and a half miles west of Edom on PR 8719, near FM 279.

The food bank is in its 26th year and serves food to approximately 50 fami- lies each week. It is a community outreach run strictly by volunteers and is open each Tuesday from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
