Churches needed for mission trip to Poland

Dick Jarrett

Baptist churches in Poland and in the United States partner together for the purpose of sharing the "good news" of Jesus Christ with family and friends.

Poland has been a bridge between eastern and western Europe. It's a country where the past and present meet.

It is a country where to be Polish is to be Catholic, yet many people grew up under Communist rule and were taught God doesn't exist.

Add the influence of Western Europe and response of Polish men, women and young people to the gospel is often slow. The churches in Poland have requested individuals or teams from your church to come and help them.

The project teams, with the help of Polish Baptists, will go from home to home with the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.

The churches in Poland have already begun to pray for you and others who will participate in the evangelistic effort. The churches will implement a plan called "Operation Andrew."

The plan involves church members praying daily for up to 10 people who need to hear the gospel. During the project, church members and visiting team members will go out and share the story of Jesus with those for whom the Polish church members were praying. The days will be challenging, as we share the gospel throughout the region.

However, the blessing of seeing young and old alike come to Christ will be something you will not soon forget. These are truly exciting days to be in our Father's fields. Seventeen teams of two to three members are being requested to work with 17 Polish Baptist churches.

Will you answer God's call to take your place in His harvest fields? Remember Jesus' words in John 4:35: "Behold I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest."

When the harvest is not gathered it falls and dies in the field, never to be gathered again.
