`Orange' you glad he called it?
File Photo Deondre Taylor (18), shown here in the Oct. 1 game, was the recipient of a good play call by Bears head coach John Settle during the district opener Friday.
Sometimes, a plan just comes together.
"We had seen in film during the week, that the cornerback on that side was very aggressive on the run," Bears head coach John Settle said.
Poor Westwood Panthers cornerback ... because the Bears coaching staff had a plan.
Brownsboro was up 28-12 and had just taken over the ball at their own 20-yard line after Westwood had missed a 26-yard field goal attempt.
On first-and-10, Settle called a play that had running back Cameron Warren running the ball ... gain of three. Then it was Warren running again ... gain of five yards. Then a bad snap saw Warren covering the ball for a five-yard loss on what had obviously been a running play.
Then came "Orange-20."

From the spread, the ball was snapped to quarterback Zack Bailey with a running back in front of, and on either side, of him.
"We set up (the cornerback) in the first half by running the quarterback sweep a couple of times," Settle said. "Then we just threw the ball over his head."
It worked.
Bailey slid to the cornerback's side of the field, with his fellow backfield mates going with them like they would be blocking ... and the Westwood corner, and likely the rest of the defense, bit on the run action.
Bears wideout Deondre Taylor came open about 40 yards down field and there wasn't a defender anywhere in the neighborhood.
Bailey hit the wide open Taylor, who ran it in the rest of the way to complete the 74-yard pitch, catch and run for the touchdown.
