Dokata Gilliland Dakota Gilliland, a sophomore at Van High School, will receive the highest honor offered by the Boy Scouts of America at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor at First United Methodist Church in Chandler Saturday, at 11 a.m.

Dakota began his scout journey in the Van Independent School District as a Tiger Cub of Pack 376 in the first grade. He crossed over from Webelos to Boy Scout troop 342 in Chandler in 2004.

Dakota passed his Eagle Scout Board of Review in June.
