Wow.

A big thank you for placing our story about The Old Firehouse on the front page this week.

We're kind of new to the area and just "feeling our way around" and this kind of welcome really confirms that we made the right choice moving here to East Texas.

It's always difficult to get started in a new community but as we eluded to in our press release, there's just something special about this community that almost makes everything "easy."

I also enjoyed reading your editorial about "Community Newspapers" and it made me proud to know that someone like you is amongst us.

I've seen a "loss of ethics " so many times in big city daily papers that for a long time it's turned me away from reading them at all. It's nice to know that in our small community we'll be getting an unbiased balance of what you feel is important.

You have certainly earned my respect.
