CHANDLER NURSING CENTER
Halloween night was a little different this year.
Children started visiting at 5:30 p.m., but when the clock hit 7, our residents were finished.
They were ready for bed.
A special thank you to Miss Ellen Wallace. She can really tell some good ghost stories.
We are planning our Thanksgiving meal with families on the 19th.
If you have not adopted for Christmas, please give me a call. The Lions Club has adopted 15, and Missionary Ricky has adopted 20; Ellen Wallace and Dr. Liptak have adopted two; Miss Robbins has adopted two; and Miss Bobbie Tilley has adopted two.
So, if you are interested, we still have over 50 residents who would love to be adopted.
I would like to also take a little time to thank my fellow employees for their participation in our Halloween fashion show.
Residents really enjoyed watching and also participating.
We now have new resident council members: Shirley Smith is our president and Edna Jo Slater is our vice president. Also, three board members: Margaret Burks, Marie Pierce and Louise Welch. Good luck, ladies.
Our open house is planned for Dec. 3, from 2 to 6 p.m., and we invite you to join us and take a tour of our facility.
