Craft booths still available for Holiday in the Park
Craft booths are still available for Saturday's Holiday in the Park in Chandler, officials said.
It is the first time in three years the event, a fundraiser for Keep Chandler Beautiful, will feature the booths.
About 500 people attended last year at Winchester Park. On Saturday, groups from several churches are scheduled to sing, and children from Chandler Elementary School are expected to perform. Concession stands will offer hot chocolate, coffee, homemade chili, Frito pie, and hot dogs.
The city is also selling raffle tickets for a Four Seasons fryer, steamer and boiler, and a Thanksgiving turkey dinner from Brookshires.
The event is set to start at 5:30 p.m. at Winchester Park, with booths opening a half-hour earlier.
Featured singers include Casey DeLay and Praise Band, Westlake Baptist Church Singin Saints, Kaitlyn Hopson, Nicole Hilliard, Rock Hill Baptist Church, Jeff Smiley, Rick Daily, Bruce Thomas, Faith Tabernacle, Sherry Parker, Macedonia Baptist Church, and Amanda Parker.
Holiday in the Park will move to First Assembly of God in the event of inclement weather.
To reserve booths, call City Hall at 903-849-6853.
