Russell Russell BROWNSBORO - Services for Jack Russell, 98, Brownsboro, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Calvary Baptist Church, Brownsboro, with Rev. Jon Parker officiating.

Burial followed in Jennings Mountain Cemetery under direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.

Mr. Russell died Nov. 14, 2009, in Athens.

He was born March 23, 1911, in Buffalo, Texas, to the late Thomas Riley and Dora Jane Martin Russell.

Mr. Russell resided in the Wortham and Teague area 30 years before moving to Brownsboro in 1995.

He was a farmer and carpenter most of his working life and was a member of First Baptist Church in Oakwood.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Russell; second wife, Mary Emma Russell; longtime companion, Minnie Knight; sons, Billy Wayne Russell, Jack Edward Russell; and daughter Kathy Ann Russell.

Survivors include sons, William Lee Russell, Brownsboro, Harold Ray Russell, Clear Lake, Roger Dale Russell, Cross Roads; daughters, Wanda Jane Aaron, Red Oak, Marion LaNell Scott, Cross Roads, Dorothy Sue Wise, Brownsboro; 26 grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers included Scott Lewis, Shane Lewis, James Darden, Chris Russell, Kirk Russell, Chris Wise, Matt Wise, Tommy Killman, and Randy Fambrough.
