CHRISTMAS TOUR OF HOMES
The Arthur home
When Peggy Arthur retired from the Athens Independent School District, she chose Chandler as her new home.
She enjoys being near her sisters and the slower-paced life in a small town. Arthur purchased her home on 4th Street last year and has landscaped the yard and redecorated the interior.
The beautifully decorated fireplace will welcome guests to her traditionally styled home.
Garland, Santas and Christmas trees will be featured in each room.
Arthur enlisted the help of her sister, Lou Jean Epperson, to put the finishing touches on the home's decor.
The annual event is sponsored by Women's Unity Fellowship and is scheduled for Dec. 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Chandler Public Library, Copeland's Chandler Drug or from the homeowners.
Arthur enjoys decorating and entertaining friends and relatives during the holidays.
She reecommends these recipes.
