Loyd Cook Photo Cameron Warren (20) was named District 20 AAA's Offensive Player of the Year, while Zack Bailey (10) was named to the first team at both quarterback and defensive back. Matt Bouchillon (76) was named to the first team at guard, while Colton Croley (56) was named to the second team at center. A co-district championship, an 8-2 season record, and a playoff game gave notice to the Brownsboro Bears 2009 football team.

That notice was marked by heavy representation on District 20AAA's All-District team.

Brownsboro had a total of 20, first and second team selections on this year's All-District team.

The Bears also nabbed two superlatives honors - senior running back Cameron Warren was named Offensive Player of the Year while sophomore Keuntis Thompson was tapped as the Defensive Newcomer of the Year.

Senior quarterback Zach Bailey was one of only two players receiving unanimous selection to the team. Bailey was also selected on defense as a first team defensive back.

Jon Jon Thompson was named to the first team at running back, as was Matt Bouchillon at tackle.

Jose Mendez was named to the first team as a placekicker.

On the defensive side of the ball, along with Bailey, DAllas Huckabee was named first team as an inside linebacker while Brad McDonald was named as an outside linebacker, also to the first team.

Jarad Davis was named as a first team defensive end.

Second team selections included: Colton Croley, center; Glenn Devlin, tackle; Deondre Taylor, wide receiver; Jon Jon Thompson, defensive back; Will Spradley, inside linebacker; Ryan Owens, outside linebacker; Justin Vause, defensive end; and Michael House, special teams player.
