A Chandler man was in the Henderson County Jail Tuesday on multiple charges after he allegedly ran from police during the execution of a search warrant, sheriff's records show.
Kenny Lee Bacot, 20, 4722 Sunbird Drive, Chandler, was arrested Monday shortly after 3 p.m. He was charged with manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine, evading arrest or detention, violate promise to appear, failure to maintain financial responsbility, and no driver's license.
A $25,000 bond was set on the meth charge, and a $3,000 bond was set on the evading charge. Bonds were not set on the other charges.
According to a press release, Deputy John Daniels had been looking for Bacot since Dec. 9 for evading arrest. When he went to the residence Monday, a white 1998 Ford SUV pulled into the driveway ahead of him and Deputies Mitchum Patterson and Richard Miller.
"Two females exited the vehicle and were identified, " the press release said. "Consent was obtained to search the residence. Consent was denied to search the vehicle for illegal subs tances. Deputy Daniels glanced through the rear glass of the vehicle and saw what appeared to be a person lying under a blanket on the floorboard."

Bacot "jumped from the floorboard of the vehicle and quickly exited the driver's side," the press release said. He ran for about 80 yards before Patterson caught him.
Bacot "was found to be in possession of four baggies containing a white crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine, a set of weighing scales, and many clear plastic baggies commonly used for distribution of the drug."
Separately, Richard Leo Bennett, Jr., 52, 1803 County Road 3413, Chandler, was being held in the Henderson County jail without bond after deputies and the United States Marshals Service said he was wanted for parole violation on a murder charge.
"Mr. Bennett was located in a camper trailer and arrested without incident, " a press release said.
The arrest was on Dec. 8 about 2 p.m. Two days later, deputies seized a .22- caliber field and "several hundred rounds of ammunition for numerous caliber rifles."
