On Wednesday, Texas Democratic Women of Henderson County will meet at 1 p.m. at the Elections Office, at 201 E. Larkin St., in Athens.

Election officer Denise Hernandez will present the program and conduct a “mock election.”

The event will provide details of running an election and the help available to assist the handicapped in voting.

Men and women interested in participating in an election are encouraged to attend.

Also, those wishing to be deputized to register voters can do that at this meeting.

Lunch will not be served.
