Bears fall to Bullard, 55-44, at home

The Brownsboro Bears varsity started each half slow on their was to an 11-point loss to the Bullard Panthers Tuesday at home.
Bullard opened up a 5-0 lead, then Brownsboro tied the score with a three-pointer by point guard Ryan Smith and a bucket inside by post Nick Jones.
But that was the last time that the game was tied and the Bears never had a lead.
The Bears were down 26-20 at half-time after trailing in the first quarter, 11-5.
Bullard opened the third quarter on a 12-0 run and never looked back in the game as they posted a 55-44 win.
Smith led the Bears with 20 points while Ryan Owens and Cameron Warren had seven points each.
Jones had six points and Tyler Rogers and Keuntis Thompson each added two points.
The freshman squad was the only one to post a win over Bullard on Tuesday, a 50-47 victory fueled by a 17-0 second quarter that allowed the Bears to hold off a late charge by Bullard.
Blake Ralson led the freshmen with 17 points. Tylor Beall had 13. Deronte Givens had seven points, Patrick McCarthy had six points, Jacob Ludford had five points and Cody Collier had two points.
The junior varsity lost 50-31 after being down 31-16 at the half.
Deandre Taylor led the JV with seven points and Scott Spearman, Chris Stringer and Corben Duke each had five points. Kris Bryant and Willier Miller both had four points and D.Z. Moss added a free throw.
