Bearettes now 3-0 in District 20AAA play

The Brownsboro Bearettes ran their record to 19-3 (3-0 in District 20- 3A) with a dominating, 47-6 win over the Palestine Lady Cats in a game held in Brownsboro Friday.
The Bearettes scored all of its 28, first-half points before Palestine had even scored its first point.
Brownsboro post Hillary Shaffer opened the scoring by going back up with an offensive rebound, then moments later added two free throws.
Desiree Johnson followed with a three-pointers and LaQuesha Cooper hit Synola Harmon with a pass to complete a fast break layup and run the Brownsboro lead to 9-0.
Harmon added a threepoint shot and Shaffer another free throw to extend Brownsboro’s lead to 13-0 at the end of the first period of play.
The Bearettes dominance continued in the second period. Brownsboro scored the first 15 points of the quarter. Tiffany Hurd had six points in the quarter.
The second half was no different, as the Bearettes rang up 19 points to only four for Palestine.
Harmon led the Bearettes with 10 points. Shaffer had nine points,
Hurd had eight points and Cooper had seven.
Chelsea Chambers and Yniqua Mosley each had four points. Desiree Johnson had three points and Lakeeshia Johnson had two points.
