WRITER’S CORNER

YOU ARE SO WONDERFUL

You are so wonderful, my love.

Three daughters and now a son.

The babysitter’s here; let’s go out and have some fun.

Dinner for two, just you and me, celebrating time together you and me.

You are so wonderful, my love

And I love you so much, you see.

HOAR FROST

Hoar frost had magically materialized, overnight.

Transforming this bleak old farm of mine, overnight.

From dismal to dazzling, glistening in the winter cold, overnight.

Creating for me an unforgettable picture in the morning’s sunlight.

Overnight!

KEN

He walks quickly with a long deliberate gait

As if he cannot wait to see the other side of another moment, hurrying to get there

Eager to take on another conversation, a chance to live another time.

His dark eyes take in all the movements around him

Swift as an arrow, they dart here and there

His movements are quick and deliberate, like a panther that has spied its prey

Lithe and sinewy, muscles rippling ready for the kill. He has the face of a poet and a lover

Long angular lines and a sensuous mouth

That many would like the favors of a long lean body that belies his strength beneath his clothes

A cheerful pleasant voice gives birth to musical notes on speaking

A mind that is bright, inquisitive, full of questions and ideas. Never still, always on the move, a friend

Handsome and true
