WRITER’S CORNER
A Little Bit of Heaven
God made everything in its own way —
White snow falling; Strong wind blowing;
Making trees sway.
God made everything beautiful in its own way.
God made everything in its own way —
The old red barn with paint peelin’ off,
And “See Rock City” printed on all four sides.
The ole wooden wagon with wheel half off.
The rusty old hoe and cycle on the ground.
God made everything beautiful in its own way.
God made everything beautiful in its own way —
Grandpa’s ole sweatstained straw hat
And grandma’s bright colored bonnet
Hanging side by side on a hook on the back door.
God made everything beautiful in its own way.
God made everything beautiful in its own way –— The narrow dirt road with little ditches on each side
And banks we could slide down.
The soft dust in the road that was meant for bare feet
And to be squinched between our toes.
God made everything beautiful in its own way…
With a little bit of Heaven squeezed in.
