WALKING THE LINE

Rock Hill Baptist Church’s women’s conference set for April

Megan and Matt Magill Megan and Matt Magill Deborah Harter is scheduled to speak and singers Matt and Megan Magill expected to perform on April 17 during a women’s conference at Rock Hill Baptist Church.

The event, called “Walk the Line,” is set for 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Harter has a faith and belief that women can live free from guilt, stress, overindulgence, and their pasts — factors that bind them to everything but Christ.

God is using “Walk the Line,” a song by the legendary Johnny Cash, to speak a powerful message of love, commitment, and the joy of living a life “free” in Christ.

Harter travels internationally and ministers to women of all ages as she delivers the message of God’s incredible power.

During personal battles of ovarian and breast cancer, Harter has had to walk out her faith during times of great trial. One of her favorite verses is Psalms 66:10: “Refine us as silver is refined.”

Deborah Harter Deborah Harter She believes that growing in a deeper trust relationship with Christ requires things to be continually “burned” out of our lives. God will purify His people as we walk through this life, and keep us humble and shining with His glory through every mountain and valley we encounter.

Harter is the designer and writer for the Sterling Grace line of Christian jewelry. Her studio and store are also located in Tyler.

Matt Magill is from Oklahoma, and Megan Magill is from Tyler. The two have had a stormy past, but by God’s grace and mercy they have survived their struggles.

Their testimony is a story of renewal, and their music, a personal memoir of their failures and victories over the temptations of the world. Woven into the genres of gospel, country and rock, their music is an illustration of God’s redeeming grace.

At the heart of the Magills’ provocative lyrics and catchy tunes is a message of hope and redemption that remains with the listener long after the music fades.

A registration fee is required for “Walk The Line,” which will include a continental breakfast and lunch.

The deadline to register is set for April 11. Downloadable forms and other information can be found at rockhilltexas.com.
