Bears continue winning ways in district play

The Brownsboro Bears continued their winning ways, defeating the Westwood Panthers, 11-1, on Friday in Brownsboro.
The Brownsboro runs came on eight hits.
Matt Tobey started the game, pitching the first three innings for the Bears. He had three strikeouts, two walks and a hit batter while giving up two hits and the only Westwood run.
Scott Spearman closed out the game with two innings on the mound. He struck out four while walking one batter. He gave up no hits or runs during his time in relief.
Brad McDonald, Jose Mendez, Cody Davlin, Bret Ralson, Brett Tidwell, Cameron Warren, Spearman and Tobey had one hit apiece.
Mendez, Davlin and Ralson all had doubles. The Bears have four games left in district play.
