Funeral services for Wayne Hamilton “Sonny” Welch, 66, of Chandler were May 1, 2010, at 2 p.m., at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with the Revs. Bobby Bressman and Marvin Cole officiating.

Burial followed at Rock Hill Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Welch died April 27, 2010, in Tyler.

He was born on Aug. 19, 1943, in Chandler.

Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Ada Welch.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Welch Cagle and husband, Larry, of Tyler, and Lisa Boyd and husband, Derrick, of Tyler; brothers, Bud Welch and wife, Sandy, of Tyler, and Charlie Welch and wife, Marie, of Harrison, Ark.; sisters, Johnnie Parmer and husband, Truman, of Chandler, Pat Tompkins and husband, Joe, of Tyler; and grandchildren, Cody Wayne Cagle, Blake Aaron of Tyler, and Madelynn Kaye Boyd of Tyler.

Pallbearers were Donnie Mayer, Cody Wayne Cagle, Jazz Barbosa, Rafe Harget, Milton Welch, Billy Ray Childress, and Harold Lee.

Visitation was April 30, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
